The name of this format comes from its resemblance to an ear.

This is the Neapolitan version of the famous orecchiette from Puglia.

This artisanal dough produced by Gentile in Gragnano near Naples will take you on a journey to the south of Italy.

It is produced with 100% Italian quality durum wheat and with a very slow drying which allows to obtain an exceptional dough.

Its bronze drawing provides a rougher surface that better retains sauces.

For optimal cooking, we advise you to salt the water with coarse sea salt and to use 1 liter for 100 grams of pasta.

We suggest you taste the trecce with a simple preparation based on vegetables or a tomato based sauce. At the end of cooking add with a drizzle of cold extra virgin olive oil. A delight.
