These candied cherry tomatoes are prepared in an artisanal way without the addition of artificial preservatives.
The "confit" method is an old preservation process which consists of slow drying at low temperature with sugar.
The tomato is put in a jar in the presence of extra virgin olive oil.
A long process which offers remarkable results.

The I contadini company is located in Salento, which is located on the south-eastern end of Puglia. This place offers virtually sun all year round.
They cultivate, harvest and develop their products themselves only with exceptional raw materials and extraordinary know-how for more than 30 years.
Cherry tomatoes are grown in April and are hand picked in July. They are selected, washed and cut to be then salted.
Then they are dried slowly at low temperature with sugar.
It's up to you to discover these fabulous flavors on your plate.
