Frisella or frisa is a specialty made from durum wheat very famous in Puglia and other southern regions.

It is a dough worked by hand which is then passed in the oven for a first baking.

It is then cut horizontally and put in the oven again for a second cooking.

Its consistency is hard and dry.

Before eating this excellent product, it should be soaked a little in water. About 40 seconds if you want it to be crunchy or 60 seconds for a softer frisella.

The net weight is 500 grams.

The I contadini company is located in Salento, which is located on the south-eastern end of Puglia. This place offers an excellent microclimate for growing fruits and vegetables.

They cultivate, harvest and develop their products themselves only with exceptional raw materials and extraordinary know-how for more than 30 years.

The frisella is prepared in an artisanal way with a slow rising.

We suggest you taste this frisella with extra virgin olive oil, salt and tomatoes. It's also excellent with a mix of antipasti.
