The Terra Vecchia agricultural company is located in Policoro in the Basilicata region.
Fig ficotto or balsamic vinegar is a specialty from this region of southern Italy.
It is produced with red figs of the pisticci variety.
This balsamic is obtained with slow cooking at a temperature of 65 degrees only with the juice of the fig and water. No added sugar.
The ficotto has a syrupy, amber flavor and a honeyed consistency.
Ideal for certain savory dishes or desserts.

Terra Vecchia is located in the province of Matera in Basilicata.

It can be stored at room temperature, protected from light.
Once opened, it should be consumed within a month and stored in the refrigerator.
